Bathroom Remodel...Before and After Pics...

You have listened to our whining for a month now. You've heard all about our house being a disaster due to our bathroom remodel. Well, here's the proof that we survived. The house is back to normal, and it was all so worth it.

Master Bath Before...

And After...

My most favorite thing is the glass tiles we used on the backsplash, tub surround, shower border, and soap shelves. One day, when we build our dream home, I want the whole wall behind the vanity to be solid glass tiles with a mirror hung on top of the tiles...notice I said dream home. It will most likely stay in my dreams, but oh well...
My vision for the bathroom when we started picking out things for the remodel was for it to be this spa-like getaway. I wanted somewhere to just escape. I think we have achieved that, and I am so very happy with it.
I still need to purchase some Aveda products (what good spa isn't stocked with Aveda products?), some artwork for the wall across from the shower, some vintage glass doorknobs for the french doors and closet doors (I am hoping to find some that go well with the new knobs on the cabinet doors...I am opened to suggestions!), and a few accessories for the countertop and bathtub.  I am also looking for a small, drum-like stool to place by the bathtub, but I am trying to be very careful and patient to be sure everything is just perfect.
I told Michael last night that I also want to put a flat panel TV on the wall between the shower and bathtub, but he told me that I had exceeded my wish allotment.  Hey, it didn't hurt to try!!!
Thanks for listening to our whining and complaining, and next time you are stressed...just call me.  You are more than welcome to stop by and take a steam shower or bubble bath in our new bathroom...it is sure to relax you!

Hopefully next week, I can post pictures of our new landscaping.  This will complete our renovations at 106 Greer Court for MANY, MANY years!!!!

Another Lazy Sunday...

Mother's Day wore my two favorite boys OUT!!!  They look so peaceful now, but I am about to have to wake them up.  We are heading to my sister's house for dinner.  Wish me luck...they can both get rather grouchy when awoken.

Happy Mother's Day...

Words cannot fully express how much I appreciate my mother.  I would not be who I am today without her.  She has taught me more than I even realize.  How wonderful she is...
Happy Mother's Day, Mom!  I love you with all of my heart!!!

Winston wore his red polo for our Mother's Day Lunch with Meme and Medow!!

A Much Needed Break...

Last weekend, a few of my co-workers and I decided to spend our long weekend wisely by taking a quick trip to the beach, and boy was it worth the trip.  We spent the entire time eating, sunning, and shopping.  It was a WONDERFUL weekend except for the fact that the red-flag sized waves swallowed up my favorite pair of DG's...

I love to sit on the beach and people watch.  If you were with us, you would have seen the following...  I couldn't help but take pictures.  Only at the beach would you see things this weird and inappropriate.

Crazy, stalker Seagull...
Man fishing with waves large enough to put out the red flag...  someone please tell me what he thought he was going to catch standing 6 feet from the shore?!?!?!
Traingle top, maternity cut-off shorts, and her belly was not due to a pregnancy...

Another example of a triangle top violation...
and another...
Yes, that is her leg you see around his waist...GROSS!!
We saw A LOT of this...buy larger bottoms, Mam!!...
My child will do this one time...then I will KILL her!!!!!!!!!

p.s.  If you see Michael in some new duds, it's due to my trip to the outlet mall.  Medow will be happy to know that I expanded his selection of dress pants.  She claims that he wears his grey pinstripe pants too frequently.
